ABOUT PHCT
Port Huron Civic Theatre (PHCT), formerly Port Huron Little Theater, has been a source of Blue Water area entertainment for sixty years. A non-profit organization, PHCT's primary purpose is to promote opportunities for area residents interested in all aspects of the performing arts to share their talents with the community.
Theatre is a venue for young and old, exerienced and inexperienced, to collaborate and work together to create productions that entertain and inspire. For cast and crew alike:
-
Being part of theatre teaches cooperation, discipline, empathy and understanding.
-
Being part of a production provides a way for people of very different backgrounds and personalities to bond and explore human experiences and emotions together.
PHCT provides many oppottunities for those drawn to perform on the stage. For those who don't want to be "on" stage, there are lots of opportunites to learn creative skills such as building sets, making costumes, learn the art of lighting, sound tech, advertising and marketing. Theater is lot like a sport...it takes teamwork!
Without our many volunteers and supportive community members and businesses we would not be able to offer performances to the community. In particular, we would like to thank Watson Brothers Plumbing & Heating for their generous storage space, and Mark Walker at Michigan Mutual for the use of the "costume house". We are so grateful!
